I’m excited to be in conversation with my Rainier Writing Workshop mentor Barrie Jean Borich, DePaul University professor and author of Apocalypse Darling, Body Geographic, and My Lesbian Husband. So much of what this book became was shaped by Barrie’s guidance, from the range of hybrid and experimental nonfiction she introduced me to as a foundation for writing creative nonfiction, to her thought partnership on my MFA thesis which was the very first draft of Nervous.
